Bedor Alobaidi/ Interested to ask me a question? Please go ahead. I will be more than happy to do my best in answering if it's something related to my personal knowledge.  Leo Raiden, Iraqi Art Director, Model and actor. Photographed by: Ahmed Rasull * In the Search of Locating The Lost Soul -   Try to find something that looks like you.  Try to juxtaposition those who want to have something and everything.  Try to find your self among the passers-by and arrivals at the travel stations, and every old train that has an impact on you finds someone who looks like you is still alive.  Look for the past with beautiful memories, and break away the dust of pain, pain, loss and homelessness.  Try to restore to your soul the vitality of searching for your identity in the face of anyone you have not yet encountered, even through dreams, dreams are the rest and everything else is nothing but an illusion and transitory, you will forget it at your full will or wil...

If You Cannot Get it Now, Tomorrow You Will

Bedor Alobaidi/ Interested to ask me a question? Please go ahead. I will be more than happy to do my best in answering if it's something related to my personal knowledge.  Bedor Alobaidi  December, 18,2021  You got misunderstood today? So what? They will understand you tomorrow, when you will be already turning your back on them with no regression nor hard feelings, no- Nothing This is how life works and the best you could do is to turn whatever against you now with little patience to the ones who deserves it in the first place later on. And whether it’s going to take you days, months or years, there must be a day to come where you would be able to see a strong light crossing your way without worrying about those who are doing the impossible to underestimate you or stop you for whatever sick reasons they have in their minds. Overthinking about such people, will leave a negative impact on you, but ignoring them as they never exist is the key for not only gaining happiness...

Bedor Alobaidi/ Interested to ask me a question? Please go ahead. I will be more than happy to do my best in answering if it's something related to my personal knowledge.    Once upon a time, a lovely unveiling cover party gathering in Des Moines, Iowa along with nice, intellectual, interesting and very creative minds, and lovely social butterflies allover the place.  Miss such days, when the life was real good but perhaps we weeent thankful enough back then until we preached the level of depressing timing due to the insanity of the pendmaic and some other unfortunate, challenging shifts in pretty much all aspects of life, worldwide speaking.  I just realized that it happened I haven’t shared this photo during the time of the event a year ago, yet I did share some posts and photos here and elsewhere.  So, I thought it doesn’t bother to share this with you all. For the sake of sharing a good photo of mine.  Just to give me another reason to view and see mys...

Opinion Piece: An Open Invitation To The Self To Be True

Image
Bedor Alobaidi/ Interested to ask me a question? Please go ahead. I will be more than happy to do my best in answering if it's something related to my personal knowledge.  Over the time, perhaps over the last couple years I have been discovering many little things that I haven’t Paid attention to for whatever reason was in the past which kept me busy with other things in life rather than spending time on the little things that could just tell me few words about what path I’m talking, or used to take and leaded me to almost nowhere which is something I am not afraid or feel hesitant to tell and to express it all out. It is not a secret, and it not something big either; but just the realization of what I have missed in the past whether I’ve done it myself purposely or not, whether it was something I had control on or absolutely not. Still, the idea is all about restoring the old “Me” for really long time, sometimes there is not anything exciting about it.. But it is worth it, if me ...

I will be more than happy to do my best in answering if it's something related to my personal knowledge.  English Translation By Bedor Alobaidi  The Iraqi Author Hassan Blasim has posted today in his regular daily posts on Facebook an opinion piece written by the well-known novelist Ali Bader and he started it the introductory as follows:  " So far, the Iraqi press has not touched down nor come close to my books because according to them they consider my work  "An abominations from the work of satan". But, it is enough for me and I am relieved by a well-known, distinguished and creative Iraqi novelist like Ali Bader who writes about my stories:" ( Hassan Blasim )....  Ali Bader:  I can hardly find a free writer like Hassan Belasim, who launches his wings to fly in every direction aimlessly, untitled, with no approach, no classifications. He was not interested in any classification, any ...

The Blind Water by Iraqi Writer/Storyteller Hassan Blasim

Image
A Section from the Blind Water  Originally written in Arabic by the Iraqi Writer/Storyteller and poet:  Hassan Balasim  Translation To English by: Bedor Alobaidi  Hassan Blasim/Iraqi Writer, Storyteller. poet and cinema script writer A few days ago, I received a letter from a disturbed writer explaining contemporary writing in a religious tone. I think the man's heart breaks a pain in the way how I write sperm. I also guessed that he is one of the peaceful writers who writes in order to enter the Academy of Clean Arabic Writing. Pure, and well mashed in a grammar mills. I think the man is a loyal language guard with an honest intention. I don't know what the language and the rest of the holy cows would be like without these writers. I think that if I left things for a writer like me, they would milk the cow to the last drop and slaughter it in the middle of the afternoon in front of the slaves.  What really bothered me in his letter was his medical tone, as...

The Cup of Life

Image
Written originally in Arabic by Suad Al-Jazairi  English Translation: Bedor Alobaidi                   Bedor Alobaidi / Suad Al-Jazairi             What is left from yesterday's cup? There are teardrops at the bottom of that cup, afraid of each other, Wet with water of grief and seeds of disappointmenti I will plant them in dry soil waiting for rain. On the edge of the cup are remnants of love ; stories that are not suitable to be published ,because, they were written on an old paper that crumbled at the touch and the ends of the stories are amputated... In the cup there is a house of a poem that I forgot on an abandoned sidewalk, waiting for a drunk poet to pass by with his old rhyme. I crossed with my right foot from my yesterday to the day, His door was locked, and a paper written in a poor script was hanged in the doorbell that says: (Today is out of service, due to a tec...
